Welcome to my website. I am a professional artist based in Castle Douglas in the South West corner of Scotland. I take inspiration from the beautiful countryside which surrounds me and which help me greatly to create vibrant watercolour landscapes.

My free style of painting captures the essence and vitality of the varied subjects which inspire me. I transform intense colours into spirited images which claim the attention of all who view them.

My home is my studio. It is very much an artists’ environment with paintings in progress and a gallery of completed works to view and perhaps even buy. Visitors are always welcome to call by appointment – a phone call beforehand guarantees a warm reception.

In addition to work of my own choice, I enjoy painting commissions. I undertake most subjects, for example, still life, landscapes and portraits of pets and people of all ages.
